Rental Terms

These Rental Terms apply to all equipment rentals provided by SIA "Cinevera LV" through this website and by direct agreement with the client.

1. General

Cinevera provides professional film equipment rental services for productions in Latvia and across Europe. All rentals are subject to equipment availability and confirmation by Cinevera.

2. Booking

Equipment reservations are confirmed only after written approval from Cinevera. A booking request does not guarantee availability until it has been accepted.

3. Rental Period

The rental period begins on the agreed pickup, delivery, or dispatch date and ends on the agreed return date. Any extension must be approved in advance.

4. Equipment Use

The client agrees to:

  • use the equipment properly and only for its intended purpose
  • ensure that the equipment is handled by qualified or experienced personnel
  • keep the equipment in safe and suitable operating conditions during the rental period
  • not sub-rent, transfer, or lend the equipment to third parties without prior written approval

5. Pickup, Delivery, and Return

Equipment may be collected, delivered, or prepared as agreed between Cinevera and the client. The client is responsible for returning all rented items on time and in the same condition as received, excluding normal wear from proper use.

6. Inspection

The client must inspect the equipment upon receipt and inform Cinevera as soon as possible if any item is missing, damaged, or not in working condition.

7. Loss and Damage

The client is responsible for loss, theft, destruction, or damage to the rented equipment during the rental period. In such cases, the client may be charged for repair, replacement, cleaning, or any related costs resulting from the damage or loss.

8. Late Returns

If equipment is returned later than agreed without prior approval, additional rental charges may apply.

9. Payment

Rental fees and any additional charges are invoiced according to the agreed quotation, booking confirmation, or individual agreement. Payments must be made within the agreed payment term.

10. Cancellations

Cancellation terms may depend on the timing and scope of the booking. Cinevera reserves the right to charge cancellation fees if equipment has already been reserved, prepared, or committed for the client’s production dates.

11. Liability

Cinevera is not liable for indirect losses, production delays, lost profit, or other consequential damages arising from the use of rented equipment, except where required by applicable law.

12. Availability and Substitution

In exceptional cases, Cinevera reserves the right to replace booked equipment with equivalent equipment of similar function and standard if necessary.

13. Governing Communication

All rental details, including equipment list, rental dates, delivery terms, and pricing, are confirmed individually with the client in writing and form part of the rental agreement.
